Personal introspective & Group Spective

What happens at a personal introspective?

A personal introspective is a peer conference session where, to start, attendees privately answer in writing the five questions listed at the start of this section. These questions offer attendees an invitation to think about their conference experience, how it may impact their life in the future, and what changes they may want to make as a result. After five to ten minutes of reflection, each attendee, in turn, is given the option to share her answers with the entire group.

Here an example of the five questions:

  • What do I want to have happen?
  • What is the current situation?
  • What am I willing to do?
  • How will I know when it happens?
  • Where and how will I get support?

Why a group spective?

Ii is a process encompassing the past, present, and future, a process that creates a coherent view of where we have come from, where we are now, and our choices and plans for the future, helps me and attendees understand the role the group spective fills.
